Hendricks County Humane Society

We have been working on many new things to unveil in 2016 and are excited to announce our first partnership today!

House Huntehchs-logors Indy has teamed up with the Hendricks County Humane Society to support them in their efforts for the cats and dogs of Hendricks County. We love what they do for our community and finding homes for pets. Their main mission is to stop pet overpopulation by spaying and neutering the cats and dogs as well as helping people afford this procedure. At their location in Danville they shelter cats and foster out dogs. They always have a few dogs for people to meet during business hours. They also have a food pantry on site.

We’re excited to give our time and donations to their cause! We will be featuring a cat and/or dog of the month on our website and social media pages. A portion of each of our closing will go towards a donation to the Hendricks County Humane Society. We are also going to work with them to get the word out about donations they are looking for food, toys, kitty litter, and cleaning supplies.

We encourage you to check our their Facebook page and website.

We would like to introduce you to our first featured animal.Scampy

Scampy has been at the Humane Society for about 6 months now and is looking for her forever home. She is about 8 years old and her previous owner passed away. Scampy lived alone at her home for about a year, with only check ins from relatives, until it was time to sell her house. When she first got to the Humane Society she was shy and withdrawn but has since become much more comfortable in her surroundings. She even greets people at the door! Scampy is looking for a home without kids where she can be someone’s lovable lap cat.
